Transitional Living

Rising Phoenix: This program is a holistic approach to improving many areas of life. The approach is used to teach the youth to govern himself while living as part of the community. When the youth completes this program successfully, he will be able to move forward with his life as a person who can make healthy decisions for self-direction regarding choices in education, vocation, personal management, drug abstinence, and many other areas.

The youth will be assigned a therapist who will help him better understand himself and his goals. The youth will work side by side with his own guide and staff as he engages in work, education, outdoor activities, and therapeutic treatment to instill and enhance a true sense of direction in life.

This program engages the youth in many activities. He will find himself in service to others and his community. He will learn from animals and the earth as he helps things to live and grow. He will become educated and learn much, both from books and from people. He will experience the outdoors as never before and take lessons from the wilderness. He will recreate in ways formerly unknown. He will find ways to stay sober and healthy. He will become part of a therapeutic milieu and learn from those around him, and he will discover himself and his true potential.

Impact Ranch: Welcome to Impact Ranch! Our mission is to use work and wilderness to install and enhance a true sense of direction in each student's life. Impact Ranch is a short term high impact learning facility with the objective of finding your true self and true potential. Here is what the youth can expect in the next 45 days at Impact Ranch:

This is a diversion program for teen boys between the ages of 12 and 18. It is a farm / outdoor work experience program, with a wilderness flavor. Elements of work, camp and outdoor activities are combined to provide a unique educational experience. The setting is somewhat primitive with many of the activities taking place outdoors, including a 6 day backpacking trip. The work projects are challenging and rewarding. We will do service projects for the Forest Service, BYU Dairy and various other facilities in the community. The hours worked while at Impact Ranch will go toward restitution hours.

The Journey is a unique opportunity for a youth to find a safe haven to change, redirect and focus himself on a path that will bring him the most success in life. As instructors at Impact Ranch we challenge you to find your true self and true potential.

Transitional Living Center

The Transitional Living Center is an aftercare referral option geared primarily for clients who have successfully completed a residential program and desire to continue to assimilate significantly into the community. This generally takes the form of full-time paid employment, education, or a combination of both while living with mentors who assist and guide in successful living.

This 2,000 square-foot, two story home is centrally located in the heart of Provo's student district. With five bedrooms, two full baths, a dining area, living room, and kitchen, it will easily house five residential graduates who need a transition phase. It's proximity to the local university and colleges allow our young men access to public transportation as well as to local businesses and positive peer events.

The Transitional Living Center offers the next step for young men who have decided upon a drug-free lifestyle, providing a safe, sober house with structure and supervision and with the full support of The Journey mentors and peers. Transitional Living residents have access to Journey services and are encouraged to participate in The Journey activities and trips.
