Cross Roads

This is a three to six months transition for older clients to move into the community, which includes an independent living skills class, one group therapy session per week, and one individual or family therapy session per week. This program has recently been completely remodeled to reflect the practical skills young men and women must have in order to be successful in the community on their own. Each client must have a job and be engaged in some education, finishing a high school diploma or post-high school training. We have recently switched to a proctor based model where the young men live in an apartment adjacent to a family. Females will be in proctor homes with one or two girls per home. The proctor parents and guides monitor the clients throughout their daily schedule.
